Mycological author, explorer, and raconteur, Larry Millman visited the Upton State Forest (in my home town) on October 20. Larry led a fungal foray that was hosted by the Friends of the Upton State Forest and the Upton Open Space Committee, and I tagged along. The day was chilly and dry, but we had a nice time and found some interesting fungi. I feel tremendously fortunate to live in a town that has nice woods and a committed group of local naturalists. A few of my photos are posted below; others can be found here.
