On Saturday Oct. 27, we hosted the (first) “MassMyco” meeting at Clark. Sixty-two participants met for papers, posters, and discussion on all aspects of fungal biology. There was a remarkably diverse set of presentations, on everything from comparative genomics, to semantic vernaculars for describing mushrooms, to fungi in the tomb of King Tutankhamen (honestly). This meeting demonstrated that there is a rich community of fungal biologists in New England. Details about the program, photos, and a note regarding future meetings are available at the meeting website.
